At present, there are about 37,500 tourists in Budva, which is 79% compared to 2019,according to the tourism organizationof Montenegro.
The director of the Budva Tourism OrganizationMaja Liješevićsaid that around 14,000 tourists are staying in hotels, and this isat the level of 2019. More than 23,000 tourists are staying in private accommodation, which is 70 percent compared to 2019.
“As for the composition of guests, most tourists come to Budva from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, followed by Ukraine and Russia. There are also guests from Kazakhstan, Israel, France, and Turkey,” said Maja Liješević.
She also said that a series of events is planned in the city, to be organized in compliance with all epidemiological measures.
“We hope that the positive trend in the number of tourists coming to our city will continue,” the director added.
Hotel owners are satisfied with the season and the flow of tourists
The PR manager of the Budva RivieraElena Kaludjerovićsaid that this season is characterized by last-minute offers, which contribute to a dailyincrease in the number of guests.
“We will be very satisfied if the hotel fills up at such a pace, which is at a satisfactory level. Our hotels entered the market with very good offers; these were prices that were 15 percent lower than in 2019, and in the coming period we will continue the policy of lower prices compared to 2019,” she emphasized.
The manager of the Avala HotelDušan Bećiris also satisfied with the number of guests and the hotel’s full capacity.
“We have interesting preliminary statistical indicators. In terms of the number of overnight stays, 2021 is a few estimates above 2019. On the other hand, it is true that we set prices cautiously, and in that sense total revenue was reduced. We hope this will be a very successful season,” says Bećir.
