In eight months, around 450,000 tourists visited Montenegro’s national parks, which is 31% more than a year earlier.
The most popular park is Durmitor. Since January, it has been visited by more than 200,000 people, which is 25% more than last year. Visitors chose mountaineering, hikes to mountain peaks and glacial lakes, rafting on the Tara, and other outdoor activities.
In second place is Skadar Lake. A total of 103,914 tourists visited it — 40% more than a year earlier. Visitors can enjoy boat trips, fishing, exploring cultural and historical landmarks, hiking, and birdwatching.
In the Biogradska Gora National Park, 52,454 visitors were recorded — 22% more than in the first eight months of 2018.
