The vice president of the Montenegro Chamber of Economy, Ivan Saveljić, announced plans to organize regular air service between the countries during the Belarusian-Montenegrin business forum.
“Today there are representatives of Montenegro Airlines here, and we will be talking about a direct flight from Minsk to Montenegro in order to develop tourism. In addition, this will allow us in the future to cooperate better and develop business, including in agriculture and energy. Small and medium-sized enterprises will also find their place in future cooperation,” Ivan Saveljić said, according to the news agencyBELTA.
The chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vladimir Ulakhovich, noted that in 2018, according to various estimates, around 35,000 to 40,000 Belarusian tourists visited Montenegro. “Of course, this destination is in demand in summer, and charters fly from Grodno and Gomel. There is a flight to Belgrade, from where you can then get to Montenegro. To talk about a regular flight to Montenegro, we need economic calculations from our national airlines, because such work is always carried out on a mutually beneficial basis,” he emphasized.
The Ambassador of Montenegro to Russia and Belarus (concurrently), Ramiz Bašić, noted the need to accelerate the development of economic relations between Belarus and Montenegro. “Montenegro is very popular among Belarusian tourists. We can also cooperate in agriculture and industry. There are many products and manufacturers in Belarus that are of interest to us,” he pointed out.
