Among the largest projects in the tourism industry are the Portonovi complex on the Herceg Novi Riviera, Luštica Bay on the Luštica Peninsula, and Porto Montenegro in Tivat.
The investors behind these projects are showing other market players that Montenegro is a safe place for capital. Tourism accounts for 32% of investment in the country’s economy. The transport sector accounts for 30%, and energy for 22%, said Miloš Jovanović, Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency.
“We expect new capital investments in the energy sector, primarily in renewables such as hydropower, wind, and solar. There is also a group of investors interested in building a second unit of the Pljevlja thermal power plant and a gas plant,” Jovanović added.Source.
