Montenegro will receive the Sinopharm vaccine (China) at the end of January. This was agreed during a meeting between senior representatives of the company CNFG (China National Pharmaceutical Group) and Health Minister Jelena Borovinić Bojović.
The minister thanked the Chinese partners for the promptness and attentiveness they showed during the intensive negotiations in the previous period. As a result of the talks, a final agreement was reached that Sinopharm should deliver a sufficient quantity of the vaccine to Montenegro as soon as possible.
“Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health is in the final phase of bilateral negotiations with other companies producing coronavirus vaccines. Still adhering to its previously stated position, Montenegro will begin vaccinating citizens against COVID with a vaccine that has a European certificate, namely the Pfizer vaccine,” the ministry said.
The effectiveness of the Sinopharm vaccine ranges, depending on the report, from 80 to 86 percent. It is a classic vaccine made according to the old principle. This means that it is made from a dead virus.
