The authorities of Montenegro have decided to declare an epidemic of coronavirus again throughout the country. Starting today, several new temporary measures are being introduced. Their aim is to further prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.New measures for MontenegroWearing protective masks outdoors and indoors is mandatory throughout Montenegro, including for children over the age of 7, except on beaches and in national parks. It is also important to maintain social distancing.
Gatherings of up to 40 people are allowed outdoors and up to 20 people indoors. In both cases, a social distance of at least two meters must be maintained. However, this requirement does not apply to residential buildings.
The ban on the operation of nightclubs and discotheques remains in force until August 6. Private celebrations are not allowed: weddings, graduation parties, birthday celebrations. The ban on musical and entertainment programs in restaurants, cafes, and beach bars is in effect until July 30.
Catering establishments on the coast are allowed to operate until midnight.
Expired temporary residence and work permits for foreigners have been extended. They are now considered valid until October 7, 2020.Coronavirus infection statisticsOver the past 24 hours, 98 new coronavirus cases were confirmed. 39 people recovered. No deaths were recorded.
There are currently 1,920 active coronavirus cases, or 305 cases per 100,000 people.
