Đalovića pećina, the largest cave in Montenegro, is located 30 km from the town of Bijelo Polje. It is known for its beautiful limestone formations, mineral crystals, and stalactites up to 3 m long.
The cave is about 18 km long. However, only about 12 km have been explored. Tourists will be able to visit a small section, just over 800 m long. The visitor area will include nine halls and ten naturally formed terraces.
The cable car will run from the village of Podvrh. It will be 1.7 km long. Its capacity will be 75 people per hour. Two gondolas will accommodate eight tourists each. Construction of the cable car will cost 3.9 million euros.
The total investment in the tourism project will reach 18 million euros. In addition to the cable car, access roads, an electrical substation, and other infrastructure facilities will be built.
During the trip to the cave, tourists will also be able to visit the village of Podvrh. There is a monastery with the Church of St. Nicholas here. The church, resembling a village house, was built in the 17th century. It is famous for frescoes painted in 1613 and ancient Gospels published in the 14th century.
