89% of the bathing areas were awarded the highest rating (category K1). Water samples were taken by staff from the Institute of Marine Biology at the end of May.
In the municipality of Kotor, three of the 15 beaches received category K2:"Benovo" (Benovo), "Žuta" (Žuta)and the bathing area by the barPirate (Perast).
A grade of four was also assigned to three beaches in Tivat: by thePalmahotel, by the"Kamelija" (Kamelija)hotel in the settlement of Donja Lastva, and"Almara" (Almara)in Oblatno Bay. The remaining six bathing areas that were inspected received the highest rating.
On the Herceg Novi Riviera, only one beach received category K2 — by theClub Hotel Rivierain Njivice — while the water at the other twenty is of high quality.
Three bathing areas on the Ulcinj Riviera were assigned a four:“Toni Grill” (Toni grill), “Miami” (Miami)and the site by the formerLidohotel. All of them are located on Velika Plaža. Thirteen bathing areas here received a five.
On the Bar Riviera, all 12 beaches meet the highest category.
And on the Budva Riviera, only the bathing area by theMaestralhotel received a four. The other 26 beaches received excellent ratings.
