The first registered same-sex marriage was concluded inBudvabetween two young women who are originally from the Balkans but live and work abroad.
According to the secretary of the local government, Milijana Vukotić Eljušić, the institution provided the partnership register, the prescribed extract from the register, which is handed over to the partners immediately after the marriage is entered into, as well as the presence of witnesses in accordance with the law.
