Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović and his wife, Lidija, attended a reception hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, for heads of state and government. The 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly opened in New York.
Đukanović is in the United States on an official visit. He took part in the General Debate of the UN General Assembly.
“Montenegro is a responsible neighbor and an important factor in regional stability in the Western Balkans. The country’s secure future can be seen only in full integration with the European Union. A united Europe is a prerequisite for its global competitiveness,” the Montenegrin head of state noted.During the visit, Milo Đukanović held a meeting with representatives of the Montenegrin diaspora, organized by the country’s Consulate General in New York.
