17% of Russians would like to move to another country for permanent residence, according to a survey conducted by the Romir research center.
The largest share of respondents — 14 percent among those who would like to leave Russia — consider the United States the top option. Eight percent each named Spain and Germany. Seven percent chose Canada, and another seven percent found it difficult to answer, reportsLenta.ru.
Five percent of respondents would choose Italy and Australia. Ukraine, Israel, Finland, as well as the option “Europe as a whole,” were favored by 4 percent of those surveyed.
