Construction of the wind farm in Brajići will begin in June or July next year, said Golub Senić, CEO of Wind Farm Budva.
The WPD Brajići consortium has offered 235,462 square meters for the construction of the wind farm, of which about 20,000 square meters are privately owned. Senić adds that they will have to settle property relations with private individuals as soon as the agreement with the ministry is signed.
“In the next two weeks, we will officially sign the land lease agreement. We will do everything possible to complete this project as soon as possible,” Senić noted.
The completion deadline is three years from the date of signing the agreement with the Government.
More than 200 people will be involved in the project. The consortium will pay the state 16.5 million euros for a 30-year land lease, which amounts to about 550,000 euros per year. Golub Senić assured that the construction of the new wind power plant will not affect electricity bills.
