New banknotes will fit more easily into citizens’ wallets, notesEuronews. And ATMs will be able to process them faster.
The length of the banknotes remains the same. The color has also not changed: the 100-euro note remains greenish, and the 200-euro note remains yellow-brown. However, the new money is equipped with additional security features that can only be read by a machine.
On the right side of the note there is a large euro symbol, an architectural motif, and a holographic image of Europa, the heroine of ancient Greek mythology and daughter of the Phoenician king Agenor.
The Central Bank of Montenegro emphasized that the 100- and 200-euro banknotes of the previous series will continue to remain in circulation.
