The International Kotor Summer Carnival will take place from August 1 to 3 in Arms Square in the Old Town.The official opening will take place on August 1 at 9:00 p.m.Carnival groups from Italy, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Ukraine, and Cuba will perform in Kotor.August 1 (Thursday)at 10:00 p.m. on the central square in the Old Town, the Croatian klapa Tri Gust will take the stage. In addition, at 10:30 p.m. a Fishermen’s Night celebration will be held on the Muo waterfront.August 2 (Friday)at 9:00 p.m. — performances by carnival groups. At 10:00 p.m. on the square in the Old Town, the Croatian band Magazin, known for its song Ginem, will give a concert. By the way, its cover version, “I Know,” was once performed by Abraham Russo.August 3 (Saturday)the highlight of the festival is expected — at 9:00 p.m. the main procession will begin on the main highway. It will conclude with “Carnival Night” in the Old Town. The festival is organized by the Fešta association, the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism of Montenegro, the National and local tourist organizations, and the Municipality of Kotor.
