The International Kotor Summer Carnival will take place from August 1 to 3 in Arms Square in the Old Town.The official opening will take place on August 1 at 9:00 p.m.Carnival groups from Italy, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Ukraine, and Cuba will perform in Kotor.August 1 (Thursday)at 10:00 p.m., the Croatian klapa Tri Gust will take the stage in the central square of the Old Town. In addition, a Fishermen’s Festival will take place at 10:30 p.m. on the Muo waterfront.August 2 (Friday)at 9:00 p.m. — performances by carnival groups. At 10:00 p.m., the Croatian band Magazin, known for its song Ginem, will give a concert in the square in the Old Town. By the way, Abraham Russo once performed a cover version of it, “I Know.”August 3 (Saturday)the climax of the celebration is expected — at 9:00 p.m. the main procession will begin on the main highway. It will conclude with “Carnival Night” in the Old Town. The organizers of the celebration are the Fešta association, Montenegro’s Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, the National and local tourist organizations, and the Municipality of Kotor.
