The Director of the Institute of Public Health, Igor Galić, announced at today’spress conference thatfrom tomorrow until August 2, the operation of discotheques and nightclubs, both outdoors and indoors, will be temporarily prohibited. If the epidemiological situation becomes more favorable, he said, the mentioned venues will be allowed to operate for those who have been fullyvaccinatedor have received the first dose. This also applies to those who have a negative PCR test or proof that they have recovered from coronavirus (less than 180 days have passed since a positive PCR test). Mass gatherings indoors are prohibited.
At the press conference, Galić stated that the epidemiological situation in Montenegro remains favorable, as also stated by the World Health Organization.
The Director of the Institute of Public Health reminds that live music performances in catering establishments were previously prohibited and that this measure must be consistently observed.
“Live music may be performed on terraces and in open-air bars until midnight, provided that all other epidemiological measures are strictly observed. However, if the tendency to violate this deadline continues and if live music continues to be played in catering establishments, we will move from punishment to a ban on the performance and broadcasting of music altogether,” Galić warns.
He once again calls for uncompromising compliance with the prescribed epidemiological measures in order to avoid further, even more extensive restrictions.
