Podgorica Mayor Ivan Vuković, together with representatives of the company Bemax, officially opened the new pedestrian bridge over the Morača River, which is part of the project to build a wastewater collection and treatment system in Podgorica.
“We are going to build another bridge in our city, and we know the symbolic and functional importance of bridges, so we are proud to be able to mark this today. The pedestrian bridge is 125 m long and 6.5 m wide. It is also intended for cyclists and is adapted for people with disabilities,” Vuković emphasized, adding that they now intend to work on the landscaped areas, but the €1,900,000 bridge can already be used by residents.
The mayor also thanked Bemax for completing the works several months ahead of schedule, Deputy Mayor Časlav Vešović, the director of the municipal company Water Supply and Sewerage, Filip Makrid, as well as the engineers at the construction site.
