An international jury in Copenhagen awards the Blue Flag every year to the world’s best beaches. The evaluation criteria are high water quality and good leisure conditions. This year, 32 beaches in Montenegro were awarded the Blue Flag, which is two more awards than last year.
The first Blue Flag in Montenegro for 2020 was raised on the “Kalardovo” beach (Kalardovo) on the Tivat Riviera. The award ceremony also took place there, where the Director of the National Tourism Organization, Željka Radak Kukavičić, ceremonially raised the Blue Flag. The Blue Flag was also awarded to the marina in Bar.The Budva Rivieratraditionally became the leader in the number of awards. Seventeen beaches received the Blue Flag:

- “Blue Beach” (Blue Beach),
- S&I Beach Life,
- “Escallera” (Escallera) and “Posejdon” (Posejdon) in the “Jaz” resort area,
- San Trope and Time Out on Slovenska Beach, in Budva itself,
- “Dolce Vita” (Dolce Vita), Samsara Deluxe, Bella Vista and “Sveti Toma” (Sveti Toma) in the village of Bečići,
- Kamenovo 17A in the Kamenovo area,
- “Galija” (Galija) in the Crvena Glavica area,
- Pura Vida in the Drobnji Pijesak resort area, near the village of Reževići,
- “Ponta” (Ponta) and “Lučice” (Lučice) in Petrovac.
