Budva is the queen of the Adriatic and undoubtedly the main tourist center of Montenegro, located on the southeastern coast of the country, 35 km from the capital Podgorica and 15 km from Tivat Airport. Budva Old Town, surrounded by massive fortress walls from the 16th–17th centuries built by the Venetians, is a recognized cultural heritage site and a maze of narrow cobbled streets, picturesque medieval squares, historic churches, and monasteries. The three main religious landmarks of the Old Town — the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist, the Church of Saint Mary, and the modern Church of Saint Sava — embody the city’s rich spiritual history.

Budva has two main beaches: the sandy Slovenska Plaža beach, 850 meters long, and the pebble Mogren beach, 200 meterslong, both offering ideal conditions for swimming and water sports.
Location and geography
Around the city there are numerous bays and small hidden beaches (Plaza, Richard’s Head, Bali Beach, Gordinа Beach) that can be explored by boat or by anchoring a yacht.
