In eight months, around 450,000 tourists visited Montenegro’s national parks, which is 31% more than a year earlier.
The most popular park is Durmitor. Since January, it has welcomed more than 200,000 people, which is 25% more than last year. Visitors chose mountaineering, hikes to mountain peaks and glacial lakes, rafting on the Tara River, and other types of active recreation.
In second place is Skadar Lake. It was visited by 103,914 tourists, 40% more than a year earlier. Visitors can enjoy boat trips, fishing, exploring cultural and historical landmarks, hiking, and birdwatching.
In Biogradska Gora National Park, 52,454 visitors were recorded, 22% more than in the first eight months of 2018.
Lovćen and Prokletije were visited by 30% more tourists than a year earlier.
