By the end of last week, solar power plants had been installed in 578 households, and 67 panels at businesses, for a total of 645,the company EPCG - Solar gradnja said. The company, established a year ago by Elektroprivreda (EPCG) to implement the solar panel installation project, said it plans to complete the Solari 3000+ project by the beginning of next year.
“Today, 578 solar power plants have been installed in homes and 67 at businesses. Most of the installed power plants are currently in Nikšić and Podgorica, and they have also been installed in other municipalities in the north and south. It is planned that all three thousand panels will be installed by the beginning, and at the latest by the middle of next year, depending on weather conditions and other practical factors that are crucial for the pace of installation,” said the company headed by Ranko Vuksanović.
They added that the total capacity of the installed solar power plants is 5.6 megawatts (MW), while the total capacity upon completion of the project will be 30 MW.
As for the Solari 10,000+ project, Solar gradnja said that the feasibility study and conceptual-technical solution had been submitted to the government in order to secure funding for its implementation from European Union (EU) funds, while the project is expected to be implemented in the middle or end of next year.
In the news, representatives of this company were asked whether the implementation of the conceptual and technical solution and the feasibility study for the Solari 5000+ project had been completed, and how far along the process of obtaining EU funds for the Solari 10000+ project had progressed.
“The implementation of the mentioned activities is still ongoing. We expect the project documentation to be completed soon so that we can begin the mentioned projects,” EPCG said.
By the end of the year, a public call for citizens and businesses will be published under the “5000+” project, and implementation will begin in a few months. Asked how many solar panels they have already purchased, the company said that all necessary equipment has been procured for the 3000+ project, while for the next projects (5000+ and 10000+) the public procurement procedure will be initiated after the required project and administrative documentation is completed.
