Air Astana is launching a direct flight between Kazakhstan and Montenegro. The State Secretary for Tourism at the Ministry of Economic Development, Ivana Žurović, met with the Sales Director of Kazakhstan’s national airline Air Astana, Ismail Sekerbekov. The meeting took place during the International Tourism Fair “MITT” in Moscow. Following the meeting, Ivana Žurović and Ismail Sekerbekov announced that Air Astana will soon open direct flights to Podgorica and Tivat.
“According to the rules, it will submit a request to the competent authorities for approval, so Montenegro will soon be on the list of countries to which Air Astana can begin flights,” the Ministry of Economic Development stated.
According to them, the first flights can be expected in April, when the visa-free regime for citizens of Kazakhstan comes into force.
Let us recall that Montenegroannouncesan annual seasonal visa-free regime, allowing citizens of the Russian Federation to stay in Montenegro without a visa from April 1 to October 31 (for no more than 90 days within a 180-day period). For citizens of Ukraine, this rule applies throughout the entire calendar year.
Citizens of Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Armenia may also stay in Montenegro without a visa for 30 days during this period.
