The Montenegrin airline To Montenegro has completed a test flight of one aircraft. Thus, one aircraft from the To Montenegro fleet has been restored to airworthiness and permission to fly has been obtained
It is expected that the airline will be issued a technical inspection license this month. This means that, starting this week, this carrier will be at the disposal of the Montenegrin authorities and will be able, for example, to transport coronavirus vaccines. Previously, vaccines were transported to Montenegro by foreign companies.
However, the aircraft has not yet received a license for commercial flights, as a check of the company’s readiness to carry passengers will now follow. This inspection includes licensing not only for flights, but also for the company’s entire staff.
Let us recall that this airline was founded at the end of 2020, after Montenegro’s Ministry of Capital Investments announced on December 24 that it could no longer finance aid to Montenegro Airlines.
According to Montenegro’s Minister of Capital Investments, Mladen Bojanić, the new Montenegrin airline To Montenegro in June 2021will begin operating its first flightson the Podgorica–Belgrade and Tivat–Belgrade routes.
