Homemade cheese and kajmak
Cheese is Montenegro’s main national product. At local markets, you will find cheese to suit every taste: goat, sheep, and so on. Another popular dairy product is kajmak. It is usually spread on bread or simply served with potatoes.
Njeguški pršut
In Italy it’s prosciutto, in Spain it’s jamón, and in Montenegro it’s pršut. In any shop or market, you can buy sliced meat for as little as 12 euros per kg.
