According to preliminary data from the statistical officeMonstat, Montenegro’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 7.2 percent in the first quarter of this year.
According to preliminary data,GDPin the first quarter amounted to EUR 1.03 billion, while in the same period last year it stood at EUR 875.3 million.
The average economic growth in the countries of the European Union (EU) was 5.6 percent.
According to the report, the highest economic growth among European countries in the first quarter was recorded in Portugal at 11.1 percent, Ireland at 11 percent, and Slovenia at 9.8 percent.
Among neighboring countries, economic growth in Croatia was seven percent, in Serbia 4.4 percent, and in North Macedonia 2.4 percent.
