Montenegro’s integration into the EUis a priority for the country, so Podgorica will continue reforms in this area, Montenegrin Foreign Minister Đorđe Radulović said at a regional forum in Thessaloniki. This was reported by the Montenegrin news agencyVijesti.
The focus of the forum participants, just a few days before the NATO summit in Brussels, was the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of the Western Balkan countries, as well as the question of how the Alliance and the United States can contribute to the quality of reforms and, consequently, accelerate the processes of European integration in the region.
When it comes to Montenegro, as Radulović noted, the country’s main goal is accession to the EU. He added that behind the closing of the negotiation chapters with the EU and behind all of Montenegro’s efforts stand European values, trust, and broad support from Montenegrin citizens for this idea.
