In the last 24 hours, 226 new coronavirus cases have been registered in Montenegro. This was announced by the country’s Institute of Public Health.
In addition, the statistical processing of the results of samples sent to a laboratory in Germany has been completed. In total, there were 488 new positive cases identified in the period from September 12 to 15. They will be registered as new patients on those days, the Institute of Public Health said.
Taking into account all newly identified cases, the total number of active coronavirus cases is currently 3,208, which is 509 per 100,000 inhabitants. Over the past 24 hours, 139 recovered patients were registered.
New patients by municipality: Nikšić – 52, Podgorica – 48, Berane – 40, Pljevlja – 22, Budva – 11, Bar and Rožaje – 10 each, Kotor – 9, Bijelo Polje – 7, Cetinje, Ulcinj and Tivat – 4 each, Herceg Novi – 3 and Mojkovac – 2.
According to the laboratory in Germany: Nikšić – 203, Podgorica – 126, Berane – 76, Rožaje – 30, Pljevlja – 18, Bijelo Polje – 10, Kotor – 7, Herceg Novi – 6, Ulcinj – 5, Cetinje – 3, Bar – 3, Mojkovac and Tivat – 1 each.
Since the beginning of the year, the total number of registered cases of infection with the new COVID-19 virus is 8,612.
