This week, paving work began on the pedestrian path along Jaz Beach after the completion of earthworks and the installation of water and telecommunications manholes.
The works are being carried out on a 380-meter section — from the Posejdon Hotel to the private house of the Kunić family. Construction is currently underway on the second phase of the 226-meter pedestrian path, from the Kunjdić family house to the river mouth in the western part of Jaz Beach.
The promenade development also includes the reconstruction of the existing seawall toward the beach, as well as the installation of benches and waste bins. By the end of the works, street lighting will be upgraded, with LED systems planned in particular.
The state maritime management company has allocated 150,000 euros for the construction works.
