The State Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Borko Baic, said that a new measure to prevent the spread of the virus will come into force on January 26. Thus, every citizen, whether from Montenegro or another country, arriving from the United Kingdom must have a negative PCR test result no older than 72 hours.
The remaining measures are in force until February 10:
1. Curfew from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Exception: walking pets (maximum 60 minutes).
2. Cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, and shopping centers operate from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The operation of children’s playrooms is prohibited.
3. Travel between cities and municipalities is allowed without restrictions.
4. It is forbidden to gather outdoors in groups of more than four adults.
5. Religious rites and gatherings are permitted on the condition of one person per 10 sq. m.
6. Wearing masks is mandatory outdoors and indoors.
7. A ban on renting accommodation for more than two people, except for members of the same family.
8. Entry into Montenegro is allowed for everyone without a PCR test, except for those arriving from the United Kingdom.
Answering journalists’ questions, Galic noted that the new measure was introduced because the largest number of cases of infection with the new strain of the virus is in the United Kingdom.
As for vaccination, Galic stated that the exact date of the vaccines’ arrival is still unknown.
Let us recall that Montenegroplans to receive the Chinese Sinopharm vaccineat the end of January. However, vaccination of citizens will begin with the Pfizer vaccine, which has a European certificate.
