In Montenegro, the new package of economic measures to support citizens for the first quarter of 2021 covers more than 100,000 people, said Minister of Economic Development Jakov Milatović. He also noted that this is almost every fifth resident of the country.
Pensioners with incomes below 222 euros will receive 50 euros, while unemployed people registered with the employment bureau will receive 100 euros.
Recipients of social assistance and disability benefits can also count on support.
He said at a press conference in the Government of Montenegro that the package is primarily crisis-oriented and consists of two parts — support for the economy and support for vulnerable groups in society.
He emphasized that for the first time support had been extended to pensioners with small pensions, providing one-time assistance to pensioners receiving less than the minimum wage, which amounts to 222 euros.
Families receiving social assistance, nearly 8,000 of them, will also receive 50 euros, while families with three or more members will receive 100 euros.
The list of at-risk activities has been expanded by about 20 items, covering the transport sector and manufacturing industry.
