The first exclusive One&Only hotel in Montenegro at the resortPortonoviwill welcome its first guests on May 1. The grand opening is scheduled for March 21 and will be held in accordance with current epidemiological measures.
The total investment in the hotel, including infrastructure, amounted to more than 200 million euros.
This was stated by Tomislav Hrala, Director of Sales and Marketing at the One&Only resort in Portonovi. He also added that, as a responsible company in light of the current epidemiological situation, they have adjusted the hotel’s official launch:
“Changes have occurred in the sense that we decided to move to the so-called ‘soft’ opening phase. It includes visits from partners from travel agencies and the media so that they can get acquainted with the offer and personally experience the One&Only Portonovi resort. In this way, we can better present our offer and promote Montenegro around the world. We will use this period for additional staff training, practice, and perfecting every detail so that on May 1 guests will be left breathless when we finally open the resort’s doors to them,” Hrala said.
From May 1, the hotel will employ 222 staff members, whom Tomislav Hrala describes as the “heart of the brand.”
Despite the poor epidemiological situation, the hotel is not seeing many cancellations. Most bookings come from the UK, the US, Austria, and Germany, but there are also bookings from Montenegro, Russia, and Serbia.
“Our guests are eager to come to Montenegro and experience the first One&Only resort in Europe. We are pleased that, despite the epidemiological situation at the global level and the current state of tourism, people around the world are showing a huge desire to travel and discover new destinations. In addition, we have taken specific steps on our side to make it easier for guests to decide to travel; worldwide, we have introduced flexible policies and special offers that adapt to changes caused by the pandemic,” Hrala explained.
