Hotels in Montenegro received only 10% of last year’s revenues. This is according to a survey conducted by the Employers’ Union of Montenegro. At the same time, more than 90% of companies reported a decline in income. Also, for about 60% of companies, revenue fell by 40–60%.
It is reported that since the beginning of the year, around 7,000 people have lost their permanent jobs. In addition, half of all companies in the country have had their accounts blocked. Experts believe that if the coronavirus situation does not improve, there may be talk of mass company closures.
