Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, together with the company Martin Leitner, which is building the Kotor-Lovćen cable car, announcedthat an agreement has been reached on the official opening of the cable car on July 13 this year.
“In June we will have test runs, and the opening ceremony will be tied to our national holiday,” Abazović said at a government session.
The first stone of the cable car was laid last year, on Montenegro’s Statehood Day.
The cable carwill be 3,918 meters long, with a capacity of 1,000 passengers per hour and 40 gondolas, and the journey time will be 11 minutes. The starting point is planned in Kotor, and the end point in Lovćen.
