A vote of no confidence in the government of Montenegro led by Zdravko Krivokapić was passed by the Montenegrin parliament (the Assembly), the legislature’s press service said.
The vote was proposed by the republic’s Deputy Prime Minister, Dritan Abazović. The initiative was supported by 43 lawmakers, while 11 deputies voted against it. The voting process was conducted by roll call in an open session. The head of government himself was absent from the meeting.
Earlier, Zdravko Krivokapićsaidin an address to the citizens of Montenegro that as of February 4 he would be removed from the post of prime minister of the country, since Montenegrin PresidentMilo Đukanović“had agreed on this with part of the ruling coalition”.
