Montenegro and North Macedonia jointlywill submit an applicationto join the PayPal online payment system, it was announced at a session of the Montenegrin government.
Minister of Public Administration Marash Dukaj said that an important visit to Skopje is ahead, so he proposed a platform for a meeting with the minister there.
“This is a very important visit; it concerns the signing of a memorandum between the two ministries of Montenegro and North Macedonia with the aim ofdigitalizationand information security. There is also an idea for Montenegro, together with North Macedonia, to submit the application proposed by the company itself,” he said.
Marash stated that the two countries together have a better chance of becoming part of this network for online payments.
Receiving money via PayPal is still not possible in Montenegro
At present, PayPal money transfers are allowed in Montenegro only in one direction, that is, for paying for goods and services online. Receiving money through this platform is still not possible, which represents a significant barrier for everyone planning to do business online.
