According to the Statistical Office, in 2020 there were 11,280 companies with foreign capital in Montenegro. Of the total number, the largest share of foreign companies belonged to businessmen from Turkey — 3,250, or 28.8 percent.
Most companies were opened on the Montenegrin coast, especially in Budva, as well as in the capital, Podgorica.
An increase in interest among Turkish businessmen ininvestingin Montenegro has been recorded in recent years, especially after Montenegro’s membership in NATO.
