The value of construction works in Montenegro last year amounted to EUR 881 million, which is 9.9% more than in 2018, according to Monstat data.
Of the total value of construction works, companies accounted for EUR 809.1 million, representing a share of 91.8%. In the household sector, the value realized was EUR 71.9 million, or 8.2% of the total value of construction works, the statement said.
Last year, 3.15 thousand apartments with a usable area of 216.97 thousand square meters were completed. The number of residential buildings constructed by companies amounted to about 1.16 thousand, while in the household sector nearly two thousand residential units were built.
According to the statistics, the survey included companies with five or more employees in the field of construction, as well as units that carry out construction works.
The annual construction activity survey is calculated on the basis of a sample that includes all large and medium-sized companies, while smaller ones are selected by random sampling, Monstat saidThe value of construction works includes all installed construction materials and completed works.
