According to Monstat, property prices in the country are 11.5% higher than in the same period last year. The average price per square meter of housing in Montenegro jumped to 1,380 euros in the second quarter.
Compared with the previous quarter, the average price per square meter of an apartment in a new building is 8.7% higher.
The average price per square meter of an apartment in a new buildinglargely depends on the number of apartments classified as social housing, Monstat explained. If the share of these apartments is higher, the average price will be significantly lower, and vice versa.
The average price per square meter of an apartment in a new buildingin Podgorica in the second quarter was 1,390 euros. On the coast, it was 1,470 euros, in the central region 611 euros, and in the north the average price per square meter of an apartment in a new building was 915 euros.
