The chief architect of Budva, Ana Samardžić, refused to approve the concept for a future 9-story luxury hotel. The condo-hotel was planned to be built opposite the Old Town by the company Roaming Montenegro from Nikšić.
According to Ana Samardžić, the future hotel does not fit into the local urban fabric, worsens the view of the Old Town, and does not harmonize with neighboring buildings — in particular, the Mogren and Avala hotels.
Roaming Montenegro planned to build a five-star condo-hotel with a total area of 5,787 sq. m. The hotel project also includes 53 rooms, a restaurant, and a two-level parking garage with 65 parking spaces.
