The Institute of Marine Biology conducted the third water quality inspection this season. Samples were taken on July 1 and 2 at 110 bathing areas. They rated 90% of the beaches as excellent.
On the Bar Riviera, all 15 beaches received top marks. On the Ulcinj Riviera, only the “Borova Šuma” bathing area was rated satisfactory. The water at the other 17 beaches is of high quality.
On the Budva Riviera, 28 bathing areas received top marks. The beaches “Kamenovo,” “Bečići 05” (near the Stefan and Papillon restaurants), “Bečići 03” (near the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle), and “Slovenska Plaža 05” (opposite the former Mogren stadium) were awarded a four.
On the Tivat Riviera, all bathing areas were rated excellent. In the municipality of Kotor, 11 beaches received top marks. The bathing areas “Benovo,” “Sveti-Statije,” and “Orahovac” received fours. The beach “Prčanj” was rated satisfactory.
On the Herceg Novi Riviera, 19 bathing areas passed the test with excellent results. Threes were assigned to the beach in the village of Bijela and the “Novosadski” beach (Novosadsko kupalište) in Herceg Novi.Source.
