According to the Montenegrin statistical officeMonstat, the value of construction work completed in the first quarter of 2022 was 5.2% lower than in the first quarter of 2021 and 17.8% lower than in the fourth quarter of 2021.
The effectively worked time on construction sites in the first quarter of 2022 was 6.1% lower compared with the first quarter of 2021, and 6.3% lower compared with the fourth quarter of 2021, the Montenegrin statistical office said.
These data confirm earlier statements by the heads of the largest companies that construction, due to the crisis andrising prices, slowed significantly this year, leading to a shortage of supply. Demand, on the other hand, has not weakened.
