Current epidemiological measures have been extendeduntil March 31. Some tightening measures have been introduced in the municipalities of Berane and Šavnik.
Current epidemiological measures:
- Shop opening hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Curfew is in effect from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Exception: walking pets, but for no more than 60 minutes per day.
- It is forbidden to leave the following municipalities: Budva, Tivat, Podgorica, Cetinje, Ulcinj, Herceg Novi, Nikšić, Plužine, Kotor, Pljevlja, Ulcinj, Bar, Bijelo Polje, Mojkovac, Berane and Šavnik.
- Excursions, live music performances, children’s playrooms, Ferris wheels and amusement parks are prohibited.
- Schools are operating online.
- Wearing masks outdoors and indoors is mandatory.
Important: for the municipalities ofUlcinj, Nikšić, Berane and Šavnikthe operation of restaurants, cafes, shopping malls, non-food stores, hair salons and beauty salons, gyms and cinemas is prohibited.
Entry rules for Montenegro
Entry into Montenegro is allowed with a PCR test no older than 48 hours, or with a positive IgG antibody test no older than 30 days, or with proof of having received the second dose of the vaccine at least seven days before entering Montenegro. These rules do not apply to arrivals from Serbia, Kosovo, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Albania.
Over the past 24 hours, 553 new coronavirus infections were registered. 651 patients recovered. 18 people died, the youngest was 55 and the oldest 90 years old. The total number of currently active COVID-19 cases in Montenegro is 8,581, which is 1,362 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
11,857 citizens have been vaccinated (almost 2% of the country’s population).
Minister of Economic Development Jakov Milatović said that there has been a positive trend in the number of new infections over the past 10 days. The minister also emphasized that the goal is to vaccinate up to 400,000 citizens.
