In Montenegro, the construction and sale of nearly 1,000 apartments is planned. This is despite threats to the economy from the coronavirus epidemic, layoffs, a poor tourist season, and the closure of small and medium-sized businesses.
In particular, 120 building permits and work applications were issued in Montenegro, on the basis of which the construction of more than 55,000 square meters of housing is planned.
The negative impact of the pandemic on construction companies’ business, as he pointed out, was reflected in labor shortages and difficulties in importing and supplying construction materials and equipment.
He also emphasized that the work process at construction sites needs to be adjusted in line with public health recommendations in order to protect health and prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
18% fewer employees
Despite ambitious plans in the construction market, the coronavirus has reduced employment in the sector by 18%.
In addition, he said that the planned construction works are continuing, but at a slower pace due to the current epidemic situation.
