Members of the Parliament of Montenegro have submitted to parliamenta draft lawon digital nomads and freelancers.
Its purpose is to regulate their legal status in Montenegro by amending the provisions concerningforeignerswho work for a foreign company not registered in Montenegro, or who are self-employed entrepreneurs (so-called digital nomads).
The proposed amendments state that a digital nomad will be allowed to enter Montenegro on the basis of a long-stay visa (D visa), after which they may obtain a temporary residence permit for up to two years. A mandatory condition will be remote work for a foreign company not registered in Montenegro.
