The largest share of expensesof Montenegrin householdsis made up offood costs — 37.1% and utility expenses (housing, water, electricity) — 15.1%.
This is followed by spending on clothing and footwear — 9.8%, transport — 9.1%, communications — 6.1%, healthcare — 4.9%, furniture and interior items — 4.4%, alcoholic beverages and tobacco — 3.4%, restaurants — 2.6%, and education — 1.3%.
These are the results of a survey by the Monstat statistical office, conducted from February 1 to January 31, 2022. A total of 1,333 households across Montenegro were surveyed.
