As of today, around €500 million has been invested in Porto Montenegro. “Over the next 10 years, we will invest the same amount again to build new facilities and develop about half of the remaining Arsenal land,” said Danilo Kalezić, PR representative of Adriatic Marinas, the company behind the project.
“We have developed only 30% of the territory of the former military shipyard ‘Arsenal,’ which covers 24 hectares,” Kalezić added.
Adriatic Marinas CEO David Margason emphasized that the company’s goal is to make Montenegro one of the world’s most renowned maritime centers for superyachts and megayachts. This season, occupancy at the marina in Tivat is 11.5% higher than a year earlier.
“All berths for yachts under 30 meters were occupied. We hope to surpass last year’s results in terms of berthing vessels over 30 meters as well. We will expand our offering with a new yacht service center in the port of Bijela, which is also located in Boka Bay,” Margason said.
