The average salary in January 2021 in Montenegro amounted to 791 euros gross, while the average salary after taxes and contributions (net) was 530 euros, the statistical office Monstat reported.
The average net salary in January 2021 increased by 0.6 percent compared to December 2020, and the average net salary in January 2021 increased by 1.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
Statisticians point out that, taking into account that consumer prices in January 2021 increased by 0.3 percent compared to December of the previous year, it follows that real wages for the same period increased by 0.3 percent.
