Despite the coronavirus pandemic, the Savin Kuk ski resort in Žabljak is currently recording the highest number of visits in the past five years.
Local residents were forced to spend their winter holidays in Montenegro because the borders have been closed for several months, so the increase in visits to Žabljak is not surprising. In addition to Montenegrins, there are also Russian citizens, but mostly only those who live in Montenegro.
The ski resort has six slopes. The resort is located in a UNESCO-protected area, so no additional facilities are planned.
The Savin Kuk ski resort offers its visitors day and night skiing and snowboarding, ski school services, and a panoramic lift with two-seat cabins.
In addition, a snowshoe trail has been laid from the Savin Kuk ski resort to Black Lake, one of Montenegro’s most popular attractions. At the foot of the ski resort, there is a 2.5 km ski trail.
