A quarantine has been introduced in the country: borders are closed to foreigners, mandatory self-isolation is in effect, cafes, shopping centers, bookmakers, etc. are closed. So far, the highest number of infections and deaths have been recorded in China and Italy. Cases of coronavirus disease in Montenegro have not yet been registered. The Ministry of Health of Montenegro has adopted a set of temporary measures based on the Law on the Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases. The following temporary measures were adopted on March 15: 1) a ban on entry for foreigners, except for foreigners with permanent or temporary residence. The movement of goods for the needs of Montenegro remains unhindered, but with special sanitary and hygienic control measures; 2) mandatory self-isolation for all Montenegrin citizens, as well as for foreigners who permanently or temporarily reside in Montenegro; 3) a ban on providing food services in hotels, except for registered guests; 4) closure of discos / bars and nightclubs; 5) closure of catering establishments – coffee shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Exception – establishments that deliver food; 6) a ban on providing shopping and catering services in shopping centers; 7) closure of children's playrooms; 8) closure of fitness centers; 9) closure of casinos, bookmakers and slot machines; 10) restriction on the number of customers: only one consumer may be present per ten square meters of retail space. But no more than 50 consumers in the total area of the premises. Exception for markets: no more than 100 consumers in the total area; 11) the obligation of responsible persons in retail establishments to ensure that their employees comply with health protection measures prescribed by the Institute of Public Health of Montenegro; 12) the obligation of responsible persons to indicate at the entrance to the retail establishment information about the maximum number of people who can be in the same establishment at the same time. And also to organize compliance with this rule. The adopted measures are temporary and are in effect for 15 days. Meanwhile Montenegro remains the only country in Europe, where not a single case of coronavirus infection has been officially recorded.
