Montenegro’s integration into the EU is a priority for the country, so Podgorica will continue reforms in this area, said Montenegro’s Foreign Minister Đorđe Radulović at a regional forum in Thessaloniki. This was reported by the Montenegrin news agency Vijesti.
The focus of the forum participants, just a few days before the NATO summit in Brussels, was the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of the Western Balkan countries, as well as the question of how the alliance and the United States can contribute to the quality of reforms and, consequently, to speeding up the Eurointegration processes in the region.
When it comes to Montenegro, as Radulović noted, the country’s main goal is to join the EU. He added that behind the closing of the negotiation chapters with the EU and behind all of Montenegro’s efforts stand European values, trust, and broad support from Montenegrin citizens for this idea.
